STAFFORD, Va. — Laughter and wine. The two are often shared, and this weekend it’ll be a comedy troupe out for laughter at Potomac Point Winery.
The Italian-themed winery near the Potomac River in Stafford County will welcome “The Improper Imps of Improv” to their ballroom Saturday at 7 p.m. Its part of the comedy group’s tour of wineries, and the group’s Facebook page notes the performers are “a group of Imps willing to humiliate themselves for your entertainment.”
This is the first time the winery has invited a comedy act to perform, and it just so happens they had the space for the show in their ballroom because there is no wedding scheduled at the winery Saturday.
“We’re exited to see what this is going to be about, and, of course, the show gets better when you add some wine,” said Potomac Point Winery events planner Tanya Caruso.
The improv group notes they have performed at venues throughout the Washington area.
This is the second time in as many weeks venues in the Potomac Communities have held first-time comedy shows. On June 29, the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton welcomed comedian Jeff Maurer to a sold out performance. Maurer is once again scheduled to perform at the Workhouse July 27.
