Photos: Crash kills 3 on Christmas

Three men died in a crash in Dumfries Christmas morning.

Dumfries, Va. –– PotomacLocal.com has obtained exclusive photos of a car crash that took the lives of three Stafford County men Christmas morning.

Edwin Membreno, 20, the driver, and passenger, 22-year-old Roger Membreno, were killed when their 2005 Nissan Altima skid off U.S. 1 and slammed into the Headquarters Barbershop in Dumfries, just after 2 a.m. Saturday.

Both victims who were sitting in the front seats were wearing their seatbelts, but their car was crushed when it careened through the wall of the barbershop.

Emergency crews on the scene later found the body of the third victim, inside the barbershop among the rubble.

Police said two of three victims were wearing seatbelts.

He was identified as 42-year-old Jose Mejia Lopez, and police said he was sitting the backseat of the car and was not wearing a seatbelt.

All three men lived at 52 Cliff Circle in Stafford, but police did not know their relationship, Insidenova.com reported.

No other cars were involved in the crash and no one else was injured.

Speed appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.
