Burglary While Armed | Strangulation [Previously Released] â On May 11 at 2:27PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13500 block of Castlebridge Ln. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 20-year-old woman, observed an
acquaintance, identified as the accused, in her backyard. When the victim attempted to reenter the residence, the accused followed and forced his way into the home. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim and wrapped his arm around her neck before forcing her into another room where he struck her multiple times and brandished a firearm. At one point, the victim began to call emergency services before the accused grabbed and broke the phone. Another family member was able to contact the police. Prior to police arriving at the home, the accused left the area. The victim reported minor injuries. Further investigation revealed the accused refused to return the victimâs vehicle and the following day it was recovered and returned to the victim. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Prince Jakim Isaiah MALDONADO.
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved a rezoning to allow a developer to redevelop an area near a Woodbridge shopping center with the intent to construct more than 70 townhomes, a cafe and self-storage center.

Stafford Hospital garnered 14 votes (3.26%), indicating a modest level of community endorsement. Known for its commitment to patient care and community health, Stafford Hospital continues to dedicate itself to serving its local population, albeit with a smaller share of the community’s recommendations.
UVA Prince William Medical Center and Mary Washington Hospital followed with 11 votes (2.56%) and 7 votes (1.63%), respectively. Both institutions are well-regarded in their own right, with strong healthcare programs and a range of services, but they did not capture a significant portion of the poll votes.
UVA Haymarket Medical Center received 4 votes (0.93%), reflecting a minimal but notable presence in the local healthcare landscape.
The results of this poll highlight the communityâs overwhelming confidence in Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center as the go-to hospital for their healthcare needs. Fairfax County police: Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Newington.
This morning around 5:18 a.m., officers responded to a motorcycle crash on Rolling Road near Delong Drive in Newington involving a 2003 Honda 1300. The motorcyclist, Cornell Parish III, 32, of Woodbridge was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased.
Preliminarily, detectives believe that a BMW sedan may have been involved in the crash based on evidence found at the scene. Detectives are actively investigating the crashâs circumstances and if speed or alcohol were factors.

Prince William County Police press release: On April 26 at 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Redwing Drive and Swallow Court in Woodbridge to investigate a single vehicle crash.
The investigation revealed the driver of a 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was traveling northbound on Redwing Drive approaching Swallow Court at a high rate of speed.
The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway before entering a ravine which caused the vehicle to roll over.
Fire and rescue personnel responded to the scene where the driver, and sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased. Speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. No other vehicles were involved in the collision. Crash investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to contact police.
Identified: The deceased driver of the 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was identified as Donnell Tyquan EPPS, 33, of Woodbridge.
