A second suspect, a 17-year-old male, was arrested on May 22, 2024, in connection to the July 2023 murder of an 18-year-old in Woodbridge during a marijuana transaction. The suspect faces multiple charges, including murder and robbery, and is currently in custody.
Murder Investigation *ADDITIONAL ARREST – On May 22, 2024, a second suspect was identified and arrested in connection to the murder of an 18-year-old man that occurred in the 14100 block of Big Crest Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) on July 18, 2023. While continuing to investigate the incident, detectives learned of a second juvenile suspect involved in the incident and obtained detention orders. Further investigation revealed that a group of males, including the victim and the suspect, met in the above area to conduct a marijuana transaction when rounds were fired, fatally striking the victim. Detectives identified the suspect as a 17-year-old male juvenile. On May 22, the accused was located and arrested in Stafford County by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. Another juvenile suspect was previously arrested in connection to the incident on July 21, 2023.

Police have apprehended the suspect wanted in connection to the murder of 51-year-old Patricia Kathlean Belgin. The arrest of Karen Nicole Pollard , 37, of no fixed address, was carried out in Prince George’s County, Md., following an incident involving Virginia State Police.
The Prince William County Police Department received notification of Pollard’s arrest on January 23, 2024. The suspect is accused of being involved in an altercation with the victim on December 28, 2023, in the 1200 block of Easy Street in Woodbridge. During this incident, Belgin suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead on the scene, Prince Willian police said.
Pollard faces serious charges, including murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. She is currently being treated for minor injuries at an area hospital in Maryland and is slated to be extradited back to Prince William County for court proceedings.
The investigation revealed that the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument over fentanyl pills. The victim and the suspect were identified as acquaintances, and arrest warrants were issued for Pollard after detectives connected her to the crime scene.
The police department had previously released information about the murder investigation, offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Pollard.
Pollard’s court date is pending, and her status is listed as awaiting extradition to Virginia. The investigation into the murder continues.

Murder Investigation – On December 28 at 7:56AM, officers responded to a wooded area behind a business located in the 1200 block of Easy St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a death. The investigation revealed the victim, a 51-year-old woman, was found lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead on scene. During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as an acquaintance of the victim, and that the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument over fentanyl pills. Detectives have since obtained arrest warrants for the suspect, identified as Karen Nicole POLLARD. Attempts to locate the suspect have been unsuccessful. Police told Potomac Local news the call came in about 8 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023 after a woman was found shot on Easy Street.
There have now been 22 homicides in Prince William County in 2023, surpassing the prior by three. This year now ties with 2016, when the county reported 22 murders, the most in the past 10 years.
Prince William police: “Murder Investigation *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On November 15, detectives identified a suspect involved in the fatal shooting that was reported to have occurred in the 3700 block of Wharf Ln. in Triangle (22172) on November 14.”
“While investigating the incident, detectives identified the suspect as Tyus James TERRELL, and obtained warrants for his arrest. While investigating the homicide, Prince William County detectives, with the assistance of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, executed multiple search warrants in Spotsylvania County in connection to the ongoing investigation.”
“Attempts to locate the accused were unsuccessful. Both parties were known to one another, and the incident was not random. Detectives are continuing to actively investigate the incident to determine what led up to the shooting and are seeking to speak with anyone who has information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of the accused.”

Prince William police: “Murder Investigation – On October 16 at 1:27AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Shannon Ct in [Dale City] (22193) to investigate a domestic dispute. The investigation revealed the victim, a 51-year-old man, and his adult son, identified as the accused, were involved in a physical altercation. Police initially received a call regarding the accused destroying property inside the home and possibly being under the influence of an unknown narcotic. When officers arrived at the home, the accused was observed unclothed and actively assaulting another individual, later determined to be his father.”
“Officers challenged the accused, who initially ignored commands and continued to assault his father before briefly retreating further into the home. At one point, the accused reemerged and exited the residence, where he advanced toward officers in an agitated state and grabbed the vest of a K-9 officer.”
“The officer’s K-9 was deployed and bit the accused, who was then subsequently detained by additional officers. The accused sustained minor injuries from the apprehension and was treated at an area hospital before being released to police custody. The K-9 handler was not injured.”
“The father was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma sustained during the altercation with his son. The investigation further determined the accused had also assaulted his mother, a 52-year-old woman, during the altercation. No other injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Juan PINA-ORITZ, was arrested.”

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 43-year-old man, inside the apartment suffering from a laceration to the upper body. Fire and rescue personnel arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The investigation revealed while inside the apartment the victim and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused cut the victim before fleeing the apartment. The accused later contacted emergency services prompting police to respond to the apartment. While investigating the incident, officers located the accused in the Caton Hill Road area where they took her into custody without incident. Both parties were known to one another. Further information regarding the identity of the deceased will be released pending notification of a next-of-kin. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Joi Camille STORR, was arrested.”
Prince William police: “Murder Investigation – On September 2 at 1:41PM, officers responded to the 17200 block of Richmond Hwy in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed the victim, a 34-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated inside a vehicle in the above area. During the encounter, the accused shot the victim multiple times before exiting the vehicle and firing multiple more times toward the victim seated in the driver’s seat. Responding officers provided first aid to the victim who was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. The accused fled the area to Washington D.C. where he contacted D.C. Metropolitan Police and turned himself in without incident. Both parties were known to one another and resided as roommates in the same home. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as a Brandon Harry EDWARDS, was arrested.”

Prince William police: “Murder Investigation *ARRESTS – On August 14, Prince William County police arrested two men sought in connection to the shooting death of a 17-year-old male juvenile that occurred in the 5800 block of Moonbeam Dr in Woodbridge (22193) on August 12. The investigation revealed an arrangement was made to conduct a firearms transaction in the above area.”
“During the encounter, the victim was shot, and the money in his possession was taken. The suspects immediately fled the scene in a separate vehicle after the altercation. The victim was located in his vehicle by responding officers and transported to an area hospital where he later died. Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the shooter, identified as Jordan Delaney SICKLES, and another associated involved in the incident, identified as Re’Kwon Nyqualin BARNETT. The accused, SICKLES, was arrested in the Manassas area by detectives the evening of August 14, while BARNETT turned himself into police a short time later.”

Homicide Investigation [Previously Released] – On August 12 at 1:42PM, officers responded to the 5800 block of Moonbeam Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. Upon arriving in the area, officers located a 17-year-old juvenile male, sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Fire and rescue personnel transported the juvenile to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The initial investigation revealed the victim arranged to meet other parties in the above area. At one point during the encounter, shots were fired, fatally striking the victim. Due to Virginia law, the identity of the deceased juvenile is not being disclosed. At this time, this incident does not appear to be random. More information will be released when available. An 18-year-old man shot in Woodbridge today, July 18, 2023, died after being flown to an area trauma center.
Prince William police: “Homicide Investigation – On July 18 at 1:02 AM, officers responded to the 14100 block of Big Crest Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed the victim, identified as an 18-year-old man, and a juvenile acquaintance were in the above area when the victim was shot in the upper body.”
“After the shooting, the acquaintance contacted police to report his friend had been shot before disconnecting and leaving the area. Officers initially responded and checked the area, unable to locate the involved parties or a crime scene.”
While investigating the incident, the victim and acquaintance arrived at a hospital in another jurisdiction where they were connected to the altercation in Prince William County and the location identified on Big Crest Ln. The victim was subsequently flown to a trauma center where he died from his injury later in the morning.”
“The acquaintance was not injured in the encounter. At this time, the shooting does not appear to be random. Detectives are actively following up on leads as the investigation into the incident and what led up to the shooting continues.
