Prince William County Police Department: “Death Investigation *UPDATE – On July 31, detectives received preliminary results from the Medical Examiner’s Office regarding the death of a 44-year-old man that occurred at a residence located in the 15300 block of Holly Hills Drive in Dumfries on July 29. The preliminary findings indicate the man died from blunt force trauma to the upper body as a result of being struck by a tree that fell onto the home during a severe weather incident. The manner of death is preliminarily classified as an accident. The final determinations of both cause and manner of death will be pending the completed report by the Medical Examiner’s Office in the coming months. Identified: The deceased was identified as Kenneth Allan LEE Jr., 44, of Dumfries.”
“Death Investigation [Previously Released] – On July 29 at 5:48 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Holly Hills Drive in Dumfries to investigate a death, possibly related to severe weather. The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old man, was inside his residence when a tree fell onto the home. Additional family members who were also inside the home at the time were not injured and contacted emergency services. The victim was pronounced dead on scene. The cause of death has not confirmed, pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.”
“Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related *ARREST – On July 30, the suspect, identified as David LEDON, who was sought in connection to the domestic dispute that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 7500 block of Quail Run Lane in Manassas on June 3, was arrested without incident.”

“The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old woman, was inside the home when a family member, identified as the accused, forced his way into the home through a rear door. The accused then pushed the victim before spitting on her. At one point during the encounter, the accused retrieved a kitchen knife and attempted to stab the victim. When the accused observed the victim contacting the police, he punctured the rear tire of her vehicle before fleeing the area. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as David LEDON. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.”
“Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related – On July 30 at 1:57 a.m., officers responded to the Wawa located at 13355 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge to investigate a domestic dispute.”

“The investigation revealed the victim, identified as a 16-year-old female juvenile, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in verbal altercation while at the business. During the encounter, the accused forced the victim into the vehicle and physically prevented her from getting out. The accused then put his arm across the victim’s neck. When the victim attempted to get out of the vehicle, the accused slammed the door on victim’s foot.”
“The parties eventually left the business in the vehicle where they were stopped by responding officers in the 3100 block of Forestdale Avenue. The victim reported minor injuries. While investigating the incident, officers determined the victim had an active protective order against the accused. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Bryan Ariel ACOSTA, was arrested. Arrested on July 30: Bryan Ariel ACOSTA, 18, of 282 Aylesbury Lane in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Charged with abduction, strangulation, assault & battery, violation of a protective order, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Court Date: Pending | Bond: $2,500 Unsecured Bond.”
“Assault with a Caustic Substance – On July 31, officers concluded an investigation into an assault that was reported to have occurred in the area of Lost Canyon Court and Delaware Drive in Woodbridge on May 8. The investigation revealed two groups of female juveniles agreed to meet in the above area for an altercation. While in the above area, a verbal altercation between the two groups escalated before one of the female juveniles, identified as the accused, sprayed two women in the other group, identified as a 19- year-old woman and a 51-year-old woman, with pepper spray. On July 31, following the investigation, officers obtained petitions for the accused, identified as a 17-year-old female juvenile. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in a formal action and will be handled through the court process at a later date. Charged on July 31: [Juvenile] A 17-year-old female juvenile of Woodbridge. Charged with 2 counts of assault with a caustic substance. Court Date: Pending | Status: Charged/Petitions Obtained.”
“Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On July 30 at 8:03 p.m., officers responded to investigate a destruction of property that was reported to have occurred at The Landings at Markham’s Grant Apartments located in the 2700 block of Penbury Court in Woodbridge (22191) sometime between 12:00 p.m. on July 19 and 7:00 p.m. on July 30. The investigation revealed a round entered the home through a bedroom window. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.”
“Shooting into Residential Dwellings – On July 29 at 8:32 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 2000 block of Mayflower Drive in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a destruction of property. The investigation revealed at approximately 4:00 a.m. the homeowner woke to a loud noise before discovering damage to a wall later that morning. While checking the area, officers located two additional homes with damage consistent with being struck by projectiles. The rounds were fired from the roadway which struck the residences. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.”
“Armed Robbery – On July 30 at 3:34 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Drive in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 68-year-old man, was contacted by a female acquaintance who arranged to meet the victim in the above area. Shortly after the woman got into the victim’s vehicle, an unknown man entered the vehicle and brandished a firearm towards the victim. Both the male and the female suspect demanded the victim drive them to a nearby bank where he was forced to withdraw money. The victim then drove the suspects back to the above location. No injuries were reported.”
“Malicious Wounding – On July 29 at 10:59 p.m., officers on the concert detail at Jiffy Lube Live located at 7800 Cellar Door Drive in Bristow (20136) were alerted to a fight in the ‘C’ parking lot area. The investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old man, and a group of unknown men were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the victim was struck and thrown to the ground where he was repeatedly kicked. The parties eventually separated, and the suspects fled prior to police arriving in the area. Officers located the victim who was initially unconscious with facial injuries and provided first aid. Fire and rescue personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where they determined his injuries were non-life threatening. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the men Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact police.”
“Residential Burglary – On July 29 at 9:12 p.m., officers responded to investigate a burglary that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1400 block of California Street in Woodbridge (22191) sometime between 9:00 a.m. on July 22 and 4:00 p.m. on July 29. The investigation revealed entry was made into the attached garage through a window that was found damaged. Multiple power tools were reported missing.”
“Armed Robbery – On July 30 at 4:38 p.m., officers responded to the McDonald’s located at 13761 Richmond Highway in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. “The investigation revealed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, approached the service counter where he brandished a knife and took money from the cash register before fleeing the business. While investigating the incident, officers identified the accused and obtained arrest warrants. The following morning, the accused, identified as Robert Lee SMITH, was located and taken into custody without incident. Arrested on July 31: Robert Lee SMITH, 58, of no fixed address. “Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 30 at 11:57 p.m., officers responded to Starbucks located at 10683 Sudley Manor Drive in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shoplifter. The investigation revealed a man, identified as the accused, consumed food items without paying. The accused then placed the tip jar in his bag before damaging a chair inside the business. Officers determined the accused was intoxicated and attempted to detain him when the accused bit an officer and assaulted two additional officers before being taken into custody without further incident. Minor injuries were reported by the officers. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jonatan A. MONZON OLIVARES, was arrested. Arrested on July 30: [No Photo Available] Jonatan A. MONZON OLIVARES, 25, of no fixed address. Charged with 3 counts of assault & battery on LEO, 1 count of destruction of property, 1 count of petit larceny, 1 count of intoxicated in public. WTTG-TV: “People across the DMV are still dealing with the impacts of Saturday’s severe storms. Downed trees destroyed homes, left thousands without power, and in Dumfries, claimed the life of one man.”
“Officials say 43-year-old Kenneth Allan Lee — who went by the name Allan — was killed when a tree fell on his home in the 15300 block of Holly Hill Drive Saturday night.”
The fire broke out in the 15000 block of Edgewood Drive in Montclair. Crews arrived with smoke showing from a single-family dwelling.
As fire crews worked to douse the blaze, one firefighter fell into the basement through a weak first floor. After he fell, the firefighter was able to get out of the burning home and suffered injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
No other injuries were reported.
No one was home at the time the house caught fire. The structure sustained extensive damage.
The Building Official declared the home unsafe to occupy. The Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring in the basement.

Just before 1 a.m., crews arrived to find a fire in the garage.
Smoke detectors altered the home’s occupants to the blaze. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, said fire and rescue Assitant Chief Matt Smolsky.
The damage was primarily contained in the garage. No injuries were reported.
A building inspector declared the home unsafe to occupy. The displaced four family members.
Meanwhile, fire crews were called to a blaze at a home in the 10200 block of Balls Ford Road near Manassas at 9:05 p.m. Thursday, October 20.
Crews arrived at the single-family house to find a fire in the basement fire. All five made it out of the house unharmed.Â
The home sustained extensive damage and was declared unsafe to occupy by the building official, said Smolksy. The American Red Cross assisted the victims.
The Fire Marshal’s Office continues to investigate the cause of both fires. However, both were determined to be accidental, added Smolksy.
A Stafford County man is charged in the death of a Dumfries man killed in a crash on Route 234.
Jesse Rean Bacha, 35, of 752 Widewater Road, is charged with reckless driving, Prince William police said. He has a pending court date and was released on a summons.
On July 21, 2022, the driver of a 2018 Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on Route 234, approaching the intersection of Country Club Drive. Police said the driver disregarded a red traffic signal and continued into the intersection, where the vehicle struck a 2018 Lexus E300H within the intersection, making a left turn from Country Club Drive onto Route 234.
The impact of the crash pushed the Lexus into the southbound travel lanes. The Lexus driver, Marvin Hubert Floom, 76, of Dumfries, was taken to an area hospital and died.
A front seat passenger in the Lexus, a 73-year-old woman of Dumfries, was flown to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police declined to update us on her condition.

On Saturday, August 6 at 4:22 p.m., officers responded to Dolphin Beach located at 15904 Dolphin Drive in Montclair to investigate a missing swimmer.
The investigation revealed the victim, a 38-year-old man, and two acquaintances, were swimming at the beach when he attempted to climb the dock’s ladder and suddenly went under the water.
The acquaintances and Dolphin Beach lifeguards attempted to locate the victim before contacting the police. Members of the police department’s Marine Unit responded and located the victim later that evening.
The victim was removed from the water and pronounced deceased by awaiting rescue personnel. The victim’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and determination of cause of death.
At this time, there is no foul play concerning the death. The investigation continues.
