Students in Prince William County Public Schools returned to the classroom today. It marks the end of summer vacation and a time of majority hybrid instruction, with some students in the classroom and at home learning virtually.

Today, the first time since the pandemic began in March 2020, students are back in the classroom five days a week. New school system Superintendent Dr. LaTanya McDade, who came to Prince William County from Chicago, welcomed children today.

With a forced masking policy for everyone on school buses and inside school buildings, it was impossible to see smiles on faces in any of the photos posted to the school division's Twitter account.
