The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, about 5’7” with a thin build and medium-length shaggy black hair. He was last seen wearing dark clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants.
Three suspected drunk drivers were arrested in Stafford County on Sunday night, including one woman allegedly driving with a cup of vodka in her console.
The first DUI arrest came at 5:20 p.m. on Stony Hill Road, when deputies say a driver crossing the double yellow line admitted she was “on a break from her family” and had been on her phone. She was also found with an open container of vodka and showed signs of intoxication. She was charged with DUI, drinking while driving, using a phone while driving, and a lane violation, and held until sober.
Police said two men stole shoes from the New Balance store at Potomac Mills after a struggle with employees on Monday afternoon.
Police said the suspects were spotted concealing merchandise just after noon on August 11. When confronted, they fought with staff and ran from the mall with a pair of shoes. No one was hurt. The suspects are described as Black men — one wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark shorts, the other in a blue-and-white tank top and gray shorts. A police K-9 search did not locate them.
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Fredericksburg Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office states a jury has found Shawn O’Neal Parker guilty in a 2024 shooting that left one man severely and permanently injured.
Jurors convicted Parker on July 30 of aggravated malicious wounding and using a firearm in the crime. Days later, a judge also found him guilty of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Prosecutors say Parker shot David Franklin Greenhow III in Fredericksburg on October 28, 2024.
An intoxicated driver led deputies on a high-speed chase through North Stafford late Thursday night, reaching speeds of 100 mph before being stopped with a PIT maneuver. Deputies say 38-year-old Edgard Martinez Martinez turned off his headlights and tried to evade arrest after being spotted speeding on Garrisonville Road. The pursuit wound through multiple roads and commuter lots before ending when the suspect’s car spun into woods near Little Forest Church Road. Martinez allegedly tried to run but was quickly caught. He faces charges including DUI, felony eluding, reckless driving, and fleeing law enforcement, and is being held without bond.
In other incidents, a verbal dispute on Shaw Court escalated into an assault when two women allegedly attacked a victim. Both were charged with assault and battery and released on personal recognizance.
In a separate shooting incident on Danbury Court Aug. 9, two men from Richmond — Deshawn Antione Baker, 20, and Deonte Antoine Carrington, 19 — were arrested after exchanging gunfire during an argument. An unoccupied vehicle was struck, but no injuries were reported.
Also in Woodbridge, an aggravated assault Aug. 7 on Nickelson Drive left a 46-year-old man with multiple wounds. He later arrived at a local hospital. Police are still investigating how the injuries occurred.
Police are investigating a shooting in the 1300 block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge, just behind Marumsco Plaza. Officers found an adult man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Residents should expect a continued police presence in the area while detectives work the case. No suspect information has been released.
A man is recovering after being shot late Thursday night in Spotsylvania County.
Deputies were called to the 4500 block of Bancroft Road around 11:17 p.m. on August 7, 2025. They found the victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. Deputies provided medical aid until rescue crews arrived, and the man was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
A man is in jail without bond after police said he threatened to kill two women and prevented them from calling 911 during a ride near the Wawa on South Gateway Drive. The women flagged down staff for help, leading to his arrest for Simple Assault and Preventing a 911 Call.
Elsewhere in Stafford, a woman parked awkwardly outside the Hartwood Animal Hospital admitted to drinking a bottle of vodka before driving. She was arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol content above 0.2 and held on a $2,500 bond.
The most serious incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on July 30 at Woodbridge Station Apartments, where 23-year-old Yahziel Tyrik Collins allegedly hit a 28-year-old man in the head with a metal pot during an argument. The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
On August 4, officers arrested 53-year-old Bryant Lee Hardy after a woman reported that he assaulted her and prevented her from leaving an apartment at River Oaks Apartments the night before. She later contacted police and reported minor injuries.
