Fredericksburg Nationals: “The FredNats rallied from two separate deficits to take down the Myrtle Beach Pelicans 9-8.”
“It was the Pelicans taking an early lead once again, in the series finale. Andy Garriola came up with a runner on third base in the top of the first, and delivered his 11th RBI of the week to take a 1-0 lead.”
Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Pelicans used a big fourth inning to beat the FredNats 10-5 on Copa Night.”
“The Fundadores de Fredericksburg chased top prospect Jackson Ferris in the first inning, as he struggled to locate his pitches. John McHenry picked up a single with one out, then Paul Witt and Sammy Infante both walked to load the bases.”
“Ferris then sailed a pitch to the backstop which allowed McHenry to dash home with the first run of the game. Ferris walked two more batters to force in another run, and Myrtle Beach was forced to pull him with two outs, but kept the score at 2-0.”
Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Myrtle Beach Pelicans won a 11-6 slugfest in the series opener against the FredNats.”
“The Pelicans jumped on Jarlin Susana in the top of the first inning. Reivaj Garcia and Rafael Morel each singled, then Jefferson Rojas got hit by a pitch to load the bases.”
Fredericksburg Nationals: “The FredNats slugged their way to a 17-4 win over the Greenjackets to split the six game series.”
“John McHenry lined a two-strike pitch for an RBI single in the top of the first inning, but Fredericksburg put together a monster second inning to set the tone early. Roimsar Quintana singled on the first pitch he saw in the frame, then moved to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Armado Cruz.”
Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Augusta Greenjackets eked out a rain-shortened 5-3 win over the FredNats.”
“Riley Cornelio breezed through two scoreless innings, before Fredericksburg got him some run support in the third. Owen Murphy walked the first three batters of the frame, loading the bases for Johnathon Thomas.”
Fredericksburg Nationals: “Jarlin Susana and the Fredericksburg bullpen held the Augusta Greenjackets to just a pair of base hits in a 3-0 win.”
“Fredericksburg got on the board first, with a pair of two-out knocks in the top of the second inning. Wilmer Perez bashed a double off the wall in center field to put himself in scoring position, then John McHenry singled into right field to plate Perez and give the Freddies a 1-0 lead.”
Fredericksburg Nationals: “The Greenjackets blasted three home runs in a 6-2 win over Fredericksburg in the first game of the week.”
“After a scoreless first inning, Augusta drew first blood in the bottom of the second. Andrew Keck roped a one-out double into left field, then Jose Dilone followed with a double of his own to give the Greenjackets a one run lead.”
“The Freddies answered in the very next half inning. Jonathon Thomas smoked a double back up the middle with one out, and Paul Witt moved Tuda to third base with a sacrifice fly.”
Fredericksburg Nationals: “The FredNats trailed 12-2 at one point and nearly pulled off the comeback, but the Lynchburg Hillcats held on to win 12-10 in a rain-shortened contest.”
“Tonight began promisingly for the Freddies, jumping on Lynchburg in the home half of the first. Daylen Lile smacked his league-leading 20th double as the lead off man, then Cortland Lawson walked behind him. Lile was picked off of second, but Sammy Infante doubled after that to bring Lawson in with the first run of the game. Infante swiped third base, and came in to score when Paul Witt lashed a single through the left side of the infield to make it 2-0.”
“Fredericksburg opened the scoring in the 3rd inning when Daylen Lile drove in Johnathon Thomas with a sacrifice fly, Lile’s 46th RBI of the year. The FredNats then scored three runs in the top of the 6th inning against Delmarva reliever Albert Vega.”
