Lulu Trotter, the owner of SweetFrog, shared her journey to opening the new location. "My husband and I initially were going to buy the Ashburn location, but we ended up driving down to see the Manassas one and just fell in love. So we bought it."

UPDATE August 23, 2024: Champions FC Training Center has canceled the ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Aug. 23 due to unforeseen circumstances.
Champions FC Training Center will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new multi-sports complex in Stafford on August 23. The facility will feature soccer fields, basketball courts, a speed agility center, strength training, wrestling, and martial arts training.

Costco Wholesale is set to expand its fuel station at Potomac Mills Circle. The current setup, which features eight fuel pumps, will be increased to twelve fueling positions. The expansion aims to improve service efficiency for the members.
The expansion request involved amending the conditions of the Special Use Permit, approved by the Board of County Supervisors on July 16, 2024. This amendment will add more fueling positions and revise the existing layout to enhance circulation within the station.
The Costco fuel station is located on the north side of Potomac Mills Circle and New Bedford Way, near the intersection of Gideon Drive and Telegraph Road.
The Prince William County Planning Commission recommended approval of the expansion on April 24, 2024. Following a staff review, the recommendation for approval was upheld.
American Drengr Krav Maga has experienced significant growth since its inception. The founder, Joe Fontanella, shared insights into the school's journey and the principles behind its training program.
"We started this school in October 2021 with 13 students and one instructor," said Fontanella. Initially, classes were held in an outdoor riding arena throughout the winter. On Friday, July 19, 2024, the Prince William Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Urban Air Adventure Park in Woodbridge. The event will occur at 4:30 p.m. at Urban Air Woodbridge, 14173 Crossing Place, Woodbridge.
Urban Air Adventure Park offers a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. These attractions include trampolines, an indoor sky rider, a ropes course, climbing walls, and the Warrior Course. Additionally, the park features Spin Zone Bumper Cars, Laser Tag, Virtual Reality experiences, Mini-Golf, Bowling, and indoor Go-Karts. Younger visitors can enjoy the Tubes Playground and Flash Pads, while those seeking more thrill can try the Leap of Faith, Twist Tower, and Trapeze.
Urban Air Adventure Park was founded in 2011 and has since grown to become the largest adventure park operator in the world, with nearly 290 locations open and under development. The company aims to provide fun and challenging experiences for kids, helping them achieve goals they never thought possible.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the official opening of the park, which will operate Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Prince William Board of County Supervisors unanimously approved a Special Use Permit for a new Starbucks near Dumfries.
The coffee shop will replace an old Ruby Tuesday restaurant. The permit allows a drive-through facility in connection with a by-right restaurant and associated sign modifications in the B-1 General Business zoning district. The project was praised for being a veteran-owned business.
The site is located at 17050 Richmond Highway, about 150 feet south of the intersection of Richmond Highway and Pine Bluff Road. It is designated MU-4, a Mixed-Use Community in the Comprehensive Plan, and is within the Southbridge Activity Center Special Planning Area. The site is zoned B-1, General Business, Highway Corridor Overlay, Agritourism, and Arts Overlay District.
The Prince William County Planning Commission recommended approval of the project on May 8, 2024. County staff also recommended approval.
Potomac Distirct Supervisor Bailey expressed strong support for the project. “Madam Chair, I appreciate the opportunity to speak on this item’s behalf, as it will be one of the largest veteran-owned Starbucks in the mid-Atlantic. So I’m very proud to say that,” said Bailey.
Brentsivlle Supervisor Tom Gordy also voiced support, appreciating the applicant’s commitment to the veteran community. “I just wanted to thank the applicant for their support for our Marines and our veterans. This is going to be a veterans-focused store, and I just wanted to offer my appreciation for making that commitment and extending that appreciation to our vast 40,000-strong veteran community in Prince William County, as well as the thousands of Marines that are stationed at Quantico,” said Gordy.
Always Flavored, which just relocated its restaurant to the heart of downtown Fredericksburg, will now have its custom sauces available in Food Lion stores.
Owner Rita Witte said her journey started at farmers' markets and festivals, with the company quickly gaining traction. Their sauces soon appeared on several local store shelves, including the Fredericksburg Food Co-op. In November 2022, Always Flavored opened its first brick-and-mortar location, offering sandwiches made with their custom flavors. The product line has since grown to over 12 sauces and 15 seasonings.
