REALTOR Association of Prince William collects record number of coats
The REALTOR® Association of Prince William concluded the 2021 Coats for Kids Drive by collecting a record number of 62 coats. The coats will be donated to the Prince William County Preschool Program to help children in need of warmth this winter.
“Working with the Prince William County Preschool Program made it easy for REALTORS® to help make a difference in the community by spreading some much-needed warmth. Our goal was to collect 25 coats, and we surpassed it.” said REALTOR® Association of Prince William CEO, April Thomas.
“The Prince William Preschool Program is committed to provide students with the tools and opportunities to build a more stable future through a comprehensive education program,” said Muriel D. Tapia of the Prince William Public School Preschool Programs. “The community support demonstrated through the REALTOR® Association of Prince William Coat Drive has been an important partner to help us provide coats for as many of our students as possible and our preschool family is incredibly thankful for their partnership.”
About Prince William County Preschool Programs
Prince William County Public Schools provides offers free preschool programs through grants from the Commonwealth of Virginia and the federal government. Participants in the PWCS Preschool Program have access to the USDA food program and supplemental educational activities. Additionally, the program provides medical and dental referrals. Services are also offered to meet the special needs of children with disabilities. Preschool activities help children grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically.
