State Sen. Jeremy McPike’s Senate Bill 1305 was effectively killed for the session on Feb. 14 when a Virginia House of Delegates subcommittee for counties, cities, and towns voted 6-2 to lay the measure on the table. 

Authorities in Prince William and Stafford counties responded to a series of crimes, including DUI arrests, armed robberies, and violent assaults. A Woodbridge man was arrested for armed robbery at Target, while a Dumfries suspect was caught for malicious wounding. Meanwhile, multiple DUI arrests and public intoxication incidents kept Stafford deputies busy.

The Fredericksburg Planning Commission rejected a proposal to create a Technology Overlay District (TOD) allowing data centers in Celebrate Virginia South in a 4-3 vote on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025.

Stafford County has appointed Eugene Loew as its new Director of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, bringing over two decades of experience in public recreation and leisure services.
