Good morning! I have a couple of notes to start the newsletter today.

Fatal shooting follow up
We’re still monitoring the story from Stafford County, where an unidentified 61-year-old bystander was shot and killed in an incident involving an unnamed federal agent. It’s been more than three days since the shooting, and we still don’t know the name of the victim.

“Out of respect for the family and the fact this is still an active investigation,” wrote county sheriff’s office spokesman Ryan Wilbur, when asked why the name is being withheld.

Police have not filed charges against the federal agent. More as we have it.

Price increase
I’ve been posting more news from across the region, and hopefully, you’ve noticed. With that said, I’ve increased the price of a Locals Only Monthly membership plan to $12 for new members. You’re grandfathered under the old rate if you’re already a Locals Only Monthly member. Thank you for your continued support of local news.

Best,
