D.C. Arrested, Suspected of Arranging Sex with Minor

MANASSAS, Va. — Manassas officials report the arrest of a Washington, D.C. man suspected agreeing to meet with a minor for sex.

The Manassas City Police in conjunction with the Northern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, Virginia State Police and FBI concluded a month long investigation on July 11, 2013. The investigation lead to the arrest of Diego Vicente Acevedo, a 29 year old male of 3355 16th Street NW, Washington, DC 20010.

During the investigation Acevedo was communicating with an undercover detective and arranged a meeting for sex with a minor. Acevedo traveled from Washington, DC to Tysons Corner, VA for the meeting and was arrested July 11, 2013 without incident at The Embassy Suites Hotel in Tysons Corner. Acevedo was charged with Use of Communications Device to Solicit Minor. Acevedo was held without bond and has a pending court date of October 2, 2013 in Fairfax County.

Compared to gas, electric lawn equipment can reduce emissions, noise pollution, health risks and maintenance costs and time. The program aims to remove about a hundred gas-powered polluting tools from yards in the greater Baltimore-Washington region.

The exchanges will take place the weekends of May 17-19, 2024, and May 31-June 2, 2024, at A Few Cool Hardware Stores network of employee-owned Ace Hardware stores in the DC and Baltimore metro areas.
