WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Police say a Baptist pastor has resigned from his church and now faces sex charge
A 17-year-old female told police that she and the pastor shared several consensual sexual encounters in April, but that the two began a close friendship in Sept. 2007, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.
The man was working at Potomac Crest Baptist Church, at 15418 Cardinal Drive in Woodbridge, when the relationship began, said police.
It blossomed into a sexual relationship earlier this year, with the underage sex encounter in April, said Perok.
Jason Roy Bolton, 32, of 4817 Benicia Lane in Dumfries, is charged with sodomy, said Perok.
His court date was not released. He was held on $3,000 bond.
