In a separate incident, officers responded to reports of an individual running into traffic in Haymarket. The suspect, under the influence, attempted to headbutt an officer and caused damage to a police vehicle. The 27-year-old male from Centreville was arrested without further incident.

Additionally, a 20-year-old man from Dumfries was arrested for indecent exposure at a Walmart on Richmond Hwy. He was found undressed and chasing customers, later determined to be under the influence.

A 22-year-old man from Fredericksburg was arrested in connection with a sexual assault that occurred at a commuter lot in Woodbridge on October 21. The suspect, taken into custody by the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office, faces charges of abduction with intent to defile, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, forcible sodomy, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

In a separate incident, a 44-year-old man was robbed and assaulted by four unknown men in Manassas. The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and other property before fleeing the scene.

A man was arrested on Hurkemp and Brooke roads for impersonating a police officer, police said.

The suspect, a 33-year-old male from Lake Charles, Louisiana, was found walking in the middle of the road, yelling and screaming. When approached by Deputy S. C. Steinway, he initially claimed to have a Secret Service identification card.


Stafford

A Fredericksburg man, 45, was sentenced to 40 years in prison in Stafford Circuit Court. The sentence includes a mandatory minimum of six years to serve, with 20 years suspended. The charges stemmed from an investigation into the overdose death of a Stafford County resident.

The investigation revealed that the man had distributed narcotics to the victim shortly before the fatal overdose. During a traffic stop, the Stafford County SWAT team recovered approximately 90 Fentanyl pills and a quantity of Xylazine from the suspect.

Deputies in Stafford County were called to a residence on Goose Pond Road following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found no emergency, identifying the call as a swatting incident. This dangerous prank involves falsely reporting a serious crime to provoke a large police response.

Earlier that day, a resident on Chadwick Drive fell victim to a fraud scheme. The individual was scammed by someone posing as a Dish Network representative, resulting in a significant financial loss.

Deputies responded to a vehicle accident and found a visibly intoxicated individual who provided false identification. The suspect attempted to flee on foot, leading to a brief pursuit and struggle before being taken into custody. He refused sobriety testing, and a search revealed discarded beer cans nearby.

In a separate incident, a Charlottesville man was arrested for assault and battery at the Red Roof Inn on Warrenton Road. The altercation stemmed from a vehicle repossession dispute, and the vehicle owner was identified as the primary aggressor.

A 22-year-old driver was found slumped over the wheel with an open bottle of tequila in the vehicle. After failing sobriety tests, he was charged with driving under the influence and other related offenses.

The victim made multiple wire transfers before realizing the scam.

In another incident, a resident’s identity was compromised after applying for a job through a fake website. The victim provided personal and banking information as part of a bogus onboarding process.

The incident occurred early on October 21, when the victim arranged to meet a man who later drove her to the lot. There, he brandished a weapon, assaulted her, and stole her phone, transferring money to his account. The suspect then drove her to Stafford County, where local deputies were notified.

In a separate incident, police arrested an 18-year-old male from Woodbridge in connection with an armed robbery at an Exxon station on Seeton Sq. This arrest follows the apprehension of another suspect involved in the same robbery.
