DALE CITY, Va. – On Sept. 28, an 18-year-old woman told police that after an argument with a relative, she was struck, then knocked to the ground and choked by the suspect. According to the report, there were minor injuries and the suspect was arrested.

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On September 28th at 7:49PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 4800 block of Kentbury Ct in Woodbridge (22193) on September 27th. The victim, an 18 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, assaulted her following a verbal altercation she had with another family member. During the encounter, the accused allegedly struck the victim and knocked her to the ground. Once on the ground, the accused grabbed the victim by the neck and began to choke her. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On Sept. 27, officers arrested a male suspect who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl more than one time since 2012. Police say that the child and the suspect knew each other.

Indecent Liberties with a Child – On September 27th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1300 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 12 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on more than one occasion since 2012. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

TRIANGLE, Va. – On September 25, officers arrested a man in connection to a residential burglary from September 16. On that day, while the homeowner watched television, he saw the suspect enter the home through a bedroom window.

Here’s the latest from Prince William police: 

Attempted Residential Burglary *ARREST – On September 25th, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit were able to identify the suspect involved in the attempted burglary which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 18900 block of Barnette Cir in Triangle on September 16th. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant against the suspect in connection to this incident. That afternoon, detectives were able to locate and arrest the suspect without incident.

Attempted Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On September 16th at 1:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 18900 block of Barnette Cir in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he was watching TV when he observed an unknown man attempting to enter his residence through a bedroom window. When confronted by the homeowner, the man fled on foot. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing. A police K-9 and the Fairfax County Police helicopter were used to search for the suspect.

DUMFRIES, Va. – On September 24, a woman was arrested in the area for firing several gunshots. According to the report, police were notified by a 911 caller with no reports of injuries or damage.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 24th at 9:34PM, officers responded to the 18500 block of Old Triangle Rd in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a shots fired call. A caller reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the area. Officers arrived and determined that the accused had fired several rounds into the air. No injuries or property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident.

INDEPENDENT HILL, Va. – On September 23, police went to PACE East School after they were told a male student assaulted a teacher. Once officers arrived and found the student on school grounds, police say the student swung at and struck the officer in the face, causing minor injuries to both the officer and the teacher from earlier.

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:  

Assault & Battery a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 25th at 10:50AM, officers responded to the PACE East School located at 14780 Joplin Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate an assault. Police were initially called to the school after receiving reports that a student had reportedly assaulted a teacher. The School Resource Officer located the student outside, near one of the trailers and attempted to make contact. At that point, the student took an aggressive stance and swung at the officer. A struggle ensued and during the encounter, the student struck the officer in the face. Minor injuries were reported by the officer and the teacher involved in the initial incident. Officers were eventually able to detain the accused. Following the encounter, the student was arrested.

MANASSAS, Va. – On September 23, a 40-year-old man was hospitalized after being assaulted by two different male suspects, one of whom got a knife and caused a minor cut on the victim’s ear.  The victim told police that he was involved in an argument with one of the suspects when the assault happened. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police;  

Malicious Wounding – On September 23rd at 4:36AM, officers responded to investigate an assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 10100 block of Lomond Dr in Manassas (20109). The victim, a 40 year old man of Manassas, reported to police that he and the accused, identified as Hector BURGOA-SERRANO, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and allegedly retrieved a knife. At one point, the knife made contact with the victim’s ear causing a minor cut. Officers also learned that a second man, identified as JoelBARRAGAN, had also assaulted the victim during the same encounter. The victim went to an area hospital for treatment after the assault where police were contacted. All parties are known to one another. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against both suspects. The initial assailant, BURGOA-SERRANO, turned himself into police without incident later that day. The second suspect, BARRAGAN, was arrested following a vehicle stop.

DALE CITY, Va. – On September 24, a 51-year-old woman told police that after an argument with the male suspect, he pushed her, resulting in her falling down and hitting a door frame. Police say that the woman was later hospitalized and had a serious injury to her arm.

Malicious Wounding – On September 24th at 12:00PM, officers responded to investigate a domestic assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 3300 block of Bradford St in Woodbridge (22193) on September 4th. The victim, a 51 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim causing her to fall down and strike a nearby door frame. The victim sustained a significant injury to her arm and was treated at an area clinic on a later date. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On September 23, employees at 7-Eleven told police that a man wearing a mask entered the store, and demanded money with a handgun. Police say the suspect took an unknown amount of money and left the store on foot.

Armed Robbery – On September 23rd at 1:24AM, officers responded to the 7-11 Convenience Store located at 13304 Occoquan Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown, masked man entered the store and approached the counter. Once at the counter, the man displayed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the business on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.

DALE CITY, Va. – On September 21, a 21-year-old woman was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after a man struck her and grabbed her by the hair which caused her to fall and lose consciousness. Police say that the victim knew the suspect and the two were having an argument before the incident happened. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:

Malicious Wounding – On September 21st at 12:14PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13800 block of Meadowbrook Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 21 year old woman of Warrenton, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim and, at one point, grabbed the victim by the hair causing her to fall to the ground and strike her head on the concrete. As a result, the victim reportedly lost consciousness. Neighbors heard the altercation and contacted police. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
