WOODBRIDGE, Va. - On October 1, a manager at a Jiffy Lube told police that an intruder broke out a back office glass door and stole a laptop, computer monitor, and safe from an internal office. According to the report, officers reviewed video surveillance cameras that showed a man, matching the description of the suspect, burglarizing Jiffy Lube.

Commercial Burglary – October 1st at 7:30AM, officers responded to Jiffy Lube located at 13300 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The manager of the business reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:33AM and 4:00AM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the business through a rear office glass door which was broken out. An internal office was also found to have been entered. A laptop, computer monitor and safe were reported missing from that office. Video surveillance was reviewed which showed a man similar to the suspect described in the commercial burglary above.

MANASSAS, Va. - On Sept. 27, Manassas City police officers went to 8800 Fort Drive to investigate a report that shots were fired in the area.
Officers were told by someone at the scene that they saw what was described as a "late model red minivan" driving down Jackson Avenue nearby, said Manassas police spokeswoman Adrienne Helms. While it passed, the driver fired two gunshots out of the car and continued to drive back on Jackson Avenue, towards Sudley Road until it left the scene, said Helms.

MANASSAS, Va. - On September 23, two suspects were arrested for a hit and run to a parked vehicle on 9431 West Street with damages that totaled over $2,000.
The hit and run occurred at the Train Depot at around 10:20 pm, said Manassas police spokeswoman Adrienne Helms. After the investigation, officers found and charged John William Staggs, 40, with driving while intoxicated and hit and run, he was held on a $2,000 bond, said Helms.
His partner in crime, Marie Desiree Ollek, 38, was charged with drunk in public and released without bail; both suspects have a pending court date of November 25, 2014, said Helms.

MANASSAS, Va. - On September 26, a female victim told Manassas police that she saw an unknown man standing at her bedroom door.
Once the victim saw the suspect, he told her he entered the wrong house and fled out the front door, driving away in a gold Honda Accord, said Manassas police spokeswoman Adrienne Helms. The suspect is described as a white male, 6'2", weighing approximately 200 pounds, with black hair and glasses, and was last seen wearing khaki pants and a t-shirt, said Helms.

STAFFORD, Va. - On Sept. 25, an attempted burglary occurred at Aquia Episcopal Church located on 2938 Jefferson Davis Highway in Stafford.
Stafford sheriff’s spokesman William Kennedy said that on Sept. 25, a deputy was sent to investigate an alarm activation at the church that occurred at 11:57 p. Kennedy explained that initially it appeared that the signal came from a perimeter door, but when the deputy spoke with the church pastor, it was determined that the alarm came from the church office.
Kennedy said that after the deputy spoke with the pastor, the deputy on-site discovered that the front door to the church was unlocked, which was unusual. Shortly after, other deputies arrived to clear the building and also found that the church rear door had been forced and pried open, but no suspects were found, said Kennedy.

DALE CITY, Va. - On September 25, a 911 caller told police that someone in another apartment nearby was firing a gun inside of his home. Police were able to take the suspect into custody and discovered several shell casings inside and a back sliding door that seemed to have been shattered by some of the bullets.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Destruction of Property – On September 25th at 9:13AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4300 block of Whitmer Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. A caller reported to police that a resident in a neighboring apartment, identified as the accused, was firing his gun inside his residence. Officers arrived and were able to detain the accused without further incident. Multiple shell casings were located inside the residence. Officers checked nearby apartments and located a shattered rear sliding door which appeared to have been struck by one of the rounds fired by the accused. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

TRIANGLE, Va. - On Sept. 25, officers arrested a man for displaying a machete and swinging it at a 24-year-old male victim. According to the report, the machete did not make contact with the victim and officers were told that the two men were arguing when the incident happened.

Attempted Malicious Wounding | Brandishing a Machete – On September 25th at 5:52PM, officers responded to the 18100 block of Kilmer Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate a brandishing. The victim, a 24 year old man of Tringle, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. At one point, the victim went to his vehicle and was followed by the accused. Once at the vehicle, the accused brandished a machete and swung it towards the victim. No contact was made and the victim was able to separate from the accused. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.
