DALE CITY, Va. – On August 13, a 24-year-old man told police that while he was walking, two men approached him, one of whom assaulted him, and stole the victim’s wallet, cell phone, and other items. According to the report, the men left the scene and the victim had minor injuries.

Strong Armed Robbery – On August 13th at 1:58AM, officers responded to the area of Mapledale Ave and Miles Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 24 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man who asked to use the victim’s phone. During the encounter, another suspect approached and assaulted the victim. The men then took the victim’s wallet, cell phone and other property before fleeing the area on foot. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects.

LAKE RIDGE, Va. – On August 8, two incidents of armed robberies happened in the same location. According to the report, cell phones, wallets, and money were stolen and police believe that the incidents are related. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:

Armed Robberies – On August 8th at 11:20PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 12200 block of Allspice Ct in Woodbridge (22192) around 10:30PM. The victims, a 19 year old man of Stafford, a 19 year old man of Lorton and an 18 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that they had just arrived in the area above to attend a party. As the victims were approaching the home, they encountered three unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. During the encounter, the armed suspect struck one of the victims in the face with the handgun. The suspects took a cell phone, wallet and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victims before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. While investigating the above incident, a separate victim approached an officer on an unrelated call to report a robbery in the same location that occurred around 10:45PM. This victim, an 18 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to the officer that he was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown man who demanded the victim’s property. After taking the victim’s cell phone, the man pulled out a handgun and ordered the victim to leave the area. No injuries were reported. Detectives are investigating both incidents as being related. The investigation continues.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 10, a homeowner told police that a man, whom the homeowner knew, forced himself into the home, assaulted the homeowner and damaged a wall. According to the report, there were minor injuries and police arrested the man.

Residential Burglary | Destruction of Property – On August 10th at 2:18AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Galapagos Pl in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, came to residence looking for another resident who resides at the home. At one point, the accused forced his way into the home and assaulted the homeowner. During the altercation, the accused damaged a wall and other property in the home. The two parties were eventually separated and the accused the home. Minor injuries were reported. Officers located the accused a short time later and arrested him without further incident.

DALE CITY, Va. – On August 8, a homeowner told police that an intruder broke out a back window and stole prescription medications and money from their home. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police;

Residential Burglary – On August 8th at 12:37PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Forestdale Ace in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:45AM and 12:19PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a rear window which was broken out. Prescription medications and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were reported missing.

LAKE RIDGE, Va. – On August 11, a homeowner told police that three men, two of whom revealed handguns, burglarized a home in Lake Ridge, Va. According to the report, the men entered the home through a basement door and left the scene before police could arrive.

Residential Burglary | Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony – On August 11th at 12:43AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11400 block of Bacon Race Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that three unknown men entered the residence through a rear basement door. Two of the men displayed handguns and demanded property from the six occupants of the home. The men fled the home as police were arriving in the area. No injuries were reported and no property was taken from the home. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. Detectives have determined that this incident is not random. The investigation continues.

DALE CITY, Va. – On August 9, a homeowner told police that during a party, two men entered his home, revealed handguns, and forced him and three others upstairs. According to the report, while searching a bedroom, one person was struck with a handgun that went off during the incident causing minor injuries.

Residential Burglary | Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony – On August 9th at 11:53PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14000 block of Golden Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. The homeowner reported to police that he was having a small gathering at his residence when two unknown men entered the home through a rear unlocked door. Once inside, the men displayed handguns and forced the homeowner and three other guests to an upstairs bedroom where they proceeded to search the room. During the encounter, one of the men assaulted a resident of the home by striking him with a handgun causing the weapon to discharge. Following the altercation, the men fled the home. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the assault only. No property was taken from the home. Detectives have determined that this incident is not random. The investigation continues.

DALE CITY, Va. – On August 7, police arrested two male suspects, one of whom was struck with the handgun the night before, for waving a firearm at a man tied to the incident. During the investigation, police arrested him too and another male accomplice for striking the suspect with the handgun and stealing the firearm from previous night.

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:

Grand Larceny | Brandishing *ARREST – On August 7th at 11:44AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Ashdale Cir in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a brandishing. Officers arrived and determined that this incident was in retaliation for the robbery which occurred the night prior in the 3900 block of Penshurst Ln in Woodbridge [see release below].

The investigation revealed the victim of the robbery the night before, identified as Tyler JONES, went to the home of one of the suspects, Corey SELLERS, on Ashdale Cir to confront him over the incident. Tyler JONES was accompanied by another acquaintance, identified as Landon JONES, during this altercation. During the encounter, both men reportedly brandished a firearm at Corey SELLERS.

Another resident of the home contacted police and both suspects fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. Officers eventually located the suspects a short time later and detained both of them without further incident. Upon further investigation into the alleged robbery the night before, detectives from the Robbery Unit determined that Corey SELLERS and another man, identified as Christopher PETERSON, arranged to have Tyler JONES purchase marijuana on their behalf and gave him money to do so. Tyler JONES then reported back to the men that he was robbed of the money they give him. At that point, an altercation ensued which was reported in the release below.

The Ashdale Cir encounter on August 7th was determined to be retaliation against that incident. Following the investigation, all parties were arrested and charged in connection to their involvement in the incidents.

Armed Robbery | Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On August 6th at 9:16PM, officers responded to the 3900 block of Penshurst Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 22 year old man of Dumfries, reported to police that two known male acquaintances confronted him in the above area over a previous encounter. A verbal altercation ensued which escalated between the three men. During the struggle, one of the suspects struck the victim with a handgun causing the firearm to discharge. The suspects fled prior to officers arriving in the area. Before fleeing, the suspects took a firearm belonging to the victim. No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the gunshot. The victim did sustained non-life threatening injuries from the physical altercation. This incident was not random.

DALE CITY, Va. – On August 7, police arrested four men after finding marijuana with the intent to distribute it. According to the report, police also found other drugs, weapons, and money.

Here’s the latest from Prince William police; 

Narcotics Investigation – On August 7th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit concluded a narcotics investigation involving the distribution of marijuana with the execution of a search warrant at 14757 Dyer Ct in Woodbridge (22193). As a result of the search, marijuana, cocaine, handguns, evidence of distribution and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. The following arrests were also made without incident.

Residential Burglary – On August 6th at 12:05PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12900 block of Augustus Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the accused came to his residence looking for another family member who resides at the home. The homeowner informed the accused that the person she was looking for was not at the residence. At that point, the accused forced her way into the home and assaulted the homeowner. During the encounter, the accused pushed the homeowner into a wall, causing damage. Another resident of the home attempted to separate the two parties, while another resident contacted police. The accused fled the area prior to officers arriving at the home. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants against the accused.
