LAKE RIDGE, Va. – On August 21, a 34-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck in the face and knocked to the ground by the male suspect, causing him to become unconscious. After the incident, the suspect left the scene and police have issued a warrant.

Malicious Wounding – On August 21st at 6:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12500 block of Queensbury Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 34 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of the home. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. As a result of the fall, the victim struck his head on the pavement rendering him unconscious. The victim regained consciousness and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The accused fled prior to officers arriving in the area. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 21, police were called to a home after two men wouldn’t refused to leave. Once police arrived, the men, one of whom was the suspect, were leaving in a car but when they were stopped, the suspect pushed an officer while trying to escape and was arrested soon after.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 21st at 11:54PM, officers responded to the 1500 block of Margaret St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a disorderly call. The caller reported to police that two men were on her property looking for another resident of the home. The men refused to leave the property and police were contacted. Officers arrived in the area and located a vehicle leaving without the headlights activated. Offices stopped the vehicle and identified both individuals as being involved in the previous incident. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested for driving under the influence. During the encounter, the passenger, identified as the accused, pushed passed one of the officers and attempted to flee on foot. Officers caught up to the accused and were eventually able to detain him. No injuries were reported.

DALE CITY, Va. – On August 20, a homeowner told police that on the previous day, neighbors had noticed that two young males tried to enter the home and then left on foot. According to the report, police were not called the previous day and nothing was stolen.

Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 20th at 9:09AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Hemingway Dr in Woodbridge to investigate an attempted burglary which was reported to have occurred on August 19th around 9:45AM. A neighbor reported to the homeowner that two unknown males, possibly juveniles, were seen in the backyard of the residence attempting to enter the home. At the time of the incident, police were not contacted. No entry was made into the home and the suspects fled on foot. No property was reported missing.

DUMFRIES, Va. – On July 16, police arrested a male suspect for having illegal drugs and for distributing them. According to the report, police had stopped a car at a Days Inn in Dumfries and the suspect was found, along with others, in the car.

Narcotics Investigation – On July 16th, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of the Days Inn located at 16925 Old Stage Rd in Dumfries (22025). During the investigation, illegal narcotics including cocaine, as well as, evidence of distribution were discovered. Following the investigation, the below individual was one of the occupants of the vehicle arrested. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 21, a 53-year-old man was struck in the head with a stick by a male suspect. According to reports, the victim was assaulted by the suspect after trying to intervene in an argument and once the suspect was found, police arrested him.

Malicious Wounding – On August 21st at 12:49AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12700 block of Cara Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 53 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that another resident of the home was to the rear of the residence talking with a group of known acquaintances. The encounter escalated and the victim attempted to intervene. During the altercation, one of the individuals in the group, later identified as the accused, picked up a stick and struck the victim in the head. The group eventually dispersed and police were contacted. Non-life threatening injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects involved. An officer checking nearby business located the accused and detained him without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 17, a female suspect told police that while she was meeting a male suspect to purchase marijuana, the male suspect robbed her with a handgun. According to the report, police discovered that the female suspect was lying about the robbery because after giving him the money, the male suspect didn’t give her marijuana; both were arrested.

Filing a False Police Report – On August 17th at 5:10PM, officers responded to the 13400 block of Longwood Manor Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an initial report of a robbery.
The victim, identified as Amanda TWOMEY, reported to police that she made arrangements to meet with the accused, Jackson CRISLER, in the above area to purchase marijuana.
Once there, the victim alleged that the accused pulled out a handgun and demanded money.
The accused reportedly took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area.
During the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit discovered that the victim voluntarily gave the accused money to purchase marijuana from another party.
The accused instead took the money without providing the victim with the marijuana.
After not receiving the product, the victim called police to report the robbery. Following the investigation, both parties were arrested.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – On August 16, a 37-year-old woman told police that as she was walking, she was assaulted and threatened with a knife by a male friend. According to reports, the woman was able to call police once she got away and the male friend was arrested.

The victim, a 57 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was inside his residence when the accused, a known acquaintance, began assaulting him. During the encounter, the accused put his hands around the victim’s neck and began to choke him. The victim was able to leave the residence and contact police. Minor injuries were reported. Officers arrived at the residence and detained the accused without further incident. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Residential Burglary – On August 16th at 5:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12800 block of Hunterbrook Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 3:00 on July 7th and 3:35PM on August 16th. The investigation revealed that entry was made into a shed on the property through an unsecured door. A motorcycle, valued around $7,000, was reported stolen.

Residential Burglary – On August 16th at 1:56PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4900 block of Nautilus Pl in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the home through a rear window which was broken out. Jewelry and other property, total value around $30,000, were reported missing. Entry was also made into the attached garage through a side door which was forced open. A vehicle, valued around $2,000, was also reported stolen.

The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 9:00PM on August 14th and 1:38AM on August 15th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window. A gaming console and multiple pairs of shoes, total value around $1,500, were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On August 14th at 9:16PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 3600 block of Quantico Tr to investigate a burglary. A resident of the apartment reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:00AM and 5:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured patio door. Three gaming consoles, total value around $2,000, were reported missing.

Neighbors reported to police that broken windows and doors were discovered at the property. Damage to interior walls, windows and doors was estimated around $2,000. No property was reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On August 14th at 9:20AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 4200 block of Talon Dr in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 5:20PM on August 12th and 9:15AM on August 14th. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry was made into an attached garage through an unsecured door. Miscellaneous tools, total value around $600, were reported missing.
