Dino Days
Date:  Friday, June 3, 2011
Time:  11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location:  Visitor Center
Description:  Walk in the footsteps of the dinosaurs! Come to the Visitor Center to excavate fossils, try to out run a T-Rex, and design your own dinosaur. Fee is $2/person, $6/family

Kids Fishing Tournament
Date:  Saturday June 4, 2011
Time:  9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location:  Marina in lot #1
Description:  Join us in our kids fishing tournament and see what you can catch. There is some fishing equipment that participants can borrow, but we encourage folks to bring their own. There are several volunteers on hand to give participants help. Sponsored by the Friends of Leesylvania State Park.

Clean the Bay Day
Date:  Saturday, June 4, 2011
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location:  Visitor Center
Description:  We are going to be taking a day to remember how important keeping our environment is to us by cleaning up the shoreline of Leesylvania. Show your love of nature and clean water by coming to the Visitor Center at 11 a.m. and joining our cleanup crew.

Colonial Children's Games
Date:  Saturday, June 4, 2011
Time:  11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Location:  Visitor Center
Description:  Come down to the Visitor Center to see what games children used to play during the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. Play a few innings of Town Ball. Race hoops against each other and play a game of catch called Graces. Appropriate for children 4 years old and up.

Lee's Woods Historic Hike
Date:  Sunday, June 5, 2011
Time:  2 sessions - 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location:  Lee’s Woods Trailhead
Description:  Take a walk through the woods with a ranger and get to know the unique history of the land now known as Leesylvania State Park. You will see historic sites from the 1700's and the 1800's along this 2 mile trail.

Basic Digital Photography in the Park
Date:  Sunday, June 5, 2011 
Time:  1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Location:  Visitor Center
Description:  The workshop will cover the basics of camera operation and composition. Bring your digital camera, manual and notebook. The first hour will be spent discussing the basics of camera operation and the elements of composition. The second hour will be spent walking through the park to practice the elements of composition. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring hat and sunscreen at your discretion. Remember the first rule of digital photography, charge your battery before you come or bring a backup battery.
