Waldowski wants broadband, water and sewer for Stafford’s Rockhill District

Paul J. Waldowski is running for the vacant Rock Hill Supervisor position as an Independent on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.

As a 25-year Stafford County resident, Waldowski, whose campaign centers on affordable broadband for all Rock Hill residents, education accountability, plus water and sewer infrastructure modernization brings a fresh 21st century, leadership outlook to the decision making process to the board if elected.

He is a retired Air Force veteran who currently serves on Capitol Hill as a Federal worker. Waldowski is a member of the American Legion, A.A.S. graduate of the Community College of the Air Force, life member of Oklahoma State University Alumni Association where he received his B.S. in Computing and Information Sciences on a USAF scholarship.

As a former Optimist Club member while attending graduate school under AFIT (Air Force Institute of Technology) at the University of Missouri-Rolla, he received a M.S. in Computer Science with an Emphasis in Operations Research. His master’s degree thesis was presented at the Computer Measurement Group (CMG) annual conference.

Waldowski is a life member of the United States Chess Federation (USCF) and has attained the rating of master chess player along with two state championships and the 2003 Armed Forces champion. He volunteered to teach chess to Widewater Elementary students plus with his two sons serving as teammates was able to coach them to the scholastic first place trophy while they attended H.H. Poole Middle School.

His strategic and tactical ability was also shared as a Stafford Recreational Soccer League (SRSL) Class B certified coach for several seasons. An avid baseball fan and player has enabled him to also coach T-ball in Stafford County along with youth basketball for eight years while on active duty.

Waldowski was instrumental in fighting to get the Stafford County Board of Supervisors to pass a “dumpster” ordinance for condominiums and apartments. His uncanny ability to research past and current law that has enabled him to formulate understandable solutions comes from his many years as a consultant, project manager, technical publications, and reviews of the terms and conditions of contracts.
