Leadership Prince William names 2016 class members

A total of 38 people make up the 2016 class of Leadership Prince William.

The names and businesses of the class members were released Sept. 3. Leadership Prince William will hold a send off reception at George Mason University Science and Technology Campus at 7:30 a.m on Thursday, Sept. 24.

This is the ninth Leadership Prince William class to go through the program. The organization was founded to educate adults and youth about the Prince William region, and to promote collaboration between individuals from multiple organization in the area.

All 38 class members will spend the next year working together and touring the county on one day a month.

FAMPO’s River Crossing Parkway Study Survey is open until January 3, 2025, inviting public feedback on transportation development in the Fredericksburg region. The survey allows residents to share opinions on the project’s impact on regional needs, the community, and access to goods and services.

On November 22, two individuals were arrested in connection to a felony homicide investigation involving the neglect of a vulnerable adult, which began after a call to a home in Woodbridge earlier this year. The victim, a 32-year-old man with cerebral palsy, was found severely neglected and later died from sepsis caused by the neglect, leading to charges of homicide and abuse against the two family members involved.
