300 homeless children enjoy evening at Pfitzner Stadium

HomeAid Northern Virginia hosted their fifth annual “Night at the Ballpark” last week.

The organization partnered with businesses and other community organizations to send more than 300 homeless children to a Potomac Nationals game at Pfitzner stadium on August 14.

According to a release, many of the children had never had an opportunity to go to a baseball game previously.

During the event, the children got to run the bases on the field, meet the team’s mascot and even got signed autographs from the players, stated a release. They also received a new backpack for the school year.
