Lorton, Va. –– Police have made an arrest after a woman was killed in a car crash in February.
Carlos Edgar Portillo, 27, of Dale City, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, Fairfax County police say. His court date was not released.
The victim in the crash, 57-year-old Sharon Parrish of Manassas, was killed Feb. 9 when she was driving her 2000 BMW north on Ox Road (Va. 123) and was struck by another car, driven by the accused, police say.
Portillo was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries following the crash.
Parrish was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said speed was a factor in the crash.
