Stafford Man Charged in Fatal Crash

Nokesville, Va. –– A Stafford County man is charged in a crash that claimed the life of a Warrenton man.

Police say both men involved in the crash were not wearing their seatbelts.

A man driving a 2005 Pontiac GT at 6:08 a.m. westbound in the 13200 block of Aden Road in Nokesville was actually traveling in the wrong lane, and after the vehicle went over a hill it struck a 1993 Geo Tracker head on, said Prince William police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

The driver of the Geo, 69-year-old Robert Preston Martin, was flown to an area trauma center where he later died.

The driver of the Pontiac was taken to a local hospital and treated for head injuries.

Both drivers were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, said Perok.

Police say speed was a factor in the crash.

Dale Jeffery Anderson II, of 3 Hickory Lane in the Lake Arrowhead neighborhood is charged with reckless driving.  His court date was not released.
