John Jones, a former Brigadier General with the Army National Guard and a Stafford resident, pled guilty today for his involvement in a contracting bribery scheme.
After retiring from the National Guard, Jones founded a company called the Military Personnel Services Corporation (MPSC).
While running MPSC, Jones offered an official in the National Guard a bribe to send over $5.5 million worth of military contracts to the company.
His sentencing hearing will take place on September 18. Jones could face up to 20-years in prison, the maximum penalty for the bribery charge.
Assistant United States Attorney Jonathan L. Fahey and Trial Attorney Alison L. Anderson of the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section are prosecuting the case.
