Body in Dumpster Belonged to W.Va. Woman

Woodbridge, Va. –– The body found in a burning dumpster last month belonged to a woman from West Virginia.

The Virginia State Medical Examiner’s office confirms the body found at the Bayview apartment complex on March 23 was that of Erica Maynor.

The state medical examiner would not confirm the age of the victim.

Initial details about the case indicate Maynor moved from Kenova, West Virginia to Woodbridge to live with a cousin and one of her two children.

Maynor’s second child remained in West Virginia to live with grandparents, reports WSAZ-TV.

Following the discovery of the Prince William police have treated the case as a suspicious death.

The charred remains were found after fire crews were called to the burning dumpster.

So far, police have not announced any new leads in the investigation.
