MANASSAS, Va. - On July 1, Special Victims Unit detectives investigated the sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl by the male suspect, whom she knew. According to the report, the assault happened in June 2014 and police arrested the suspect on August 27.

Aggravated Sexual Battery – On July 1st, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 8300 block of Wallace Dr in Manassas (20109). The investigation revealed that the victim, an 11 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance in June of 2014. The victim disclosed the incident to a family member who then contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested August 27th.
