Woman Struck in Face, Police Called

NOKESVILLE, Va. - On August 9, a 35-year-old woman was hospitalized after being struck in the head and body by a male friend after an argument. According to the report, the man left the scene before police could arrive and an arrest warrant was issued. 

Here's the latest from Prince William police:

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On August 9th at 10:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10500 block of Deville Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a domestic assault. The victim, a 35 year old woman of Nokesville, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim, striking her to the head and body. The victim was able to get away from the accused and contact police. The accused fled the area prior to police arriving at the home. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused.
