Western Union Employee Struck in Head

MANASSAS, Va. - On Oct. 1, an employee at Western Union told police that an unknown man pulled out a handgun and struck him in the the head with it before leaving on foot with a set of keys. Police say that the man followed the employee into the business and the employee resisted him when the incident happened. 

Here's the latest from Prince William police:

Armed Robbery – On October 1st at 9:15AM, officers responded to the Western Union located at 10526 Lomond Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man followed him into the business shortly after opening. Once inside, the employee confronted the man and a struggle ensued. At one point, the man pulled out a handgun and struck the employee in the head with the gun. A witness observed the encounter and the suspect took a set of keys before fleeing the area on foot. No money was taken. Minor injuries were reported.  A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect.
