DALE CITY, Va. – On September 25, a 911 caller told police that someone in another apartment nearby was firing a gun inside of his home. Police were able to take the suspect into custody and discovered several shell casings inside and a back sliding door that seemed to have been shattered by some of the bullets.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Destruction of Property – On September 25th at 9:13AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 4300 block of Whitmer Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. A caller reported to police that a resident in a neighboring apartment, identified as the accused, was firing his gun inside his residence. Officers arrived and were able to detain the accused without further incident. Multiple shell casings were located inside the residence. Officers checked nearby apartments and located a shattered rear sliding door which appeared to have been struck by one of the rounds fired by the accused. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
