Police arrested the man wanted in connection to a man who was shot outside a McDonalds restaurant Monday night. They found him in the Montclair neighborhood of Prince William County:Â
On August 26, police found and arrested the male suspect accused of shooting a man in the face and carjacking a driver. The female suspect, identified by police as an accomplice, turned herself into police later on that evening.Â

Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Carjacking *ARRESTS – On August 26th at 11:36AM, officers responded to the area of Waterway Dr and Spring Branch Blvd in Dumfries (22025) after receiving reports of a possible sighting of DeWayne WILLIAMS who was wanted in connection to a shooting incident which occurred at the McDonald’s on Dale Blvd on August 25th.
The caller reported to police that the suspect was last seen climbing over a fence in the area. Officers were in the area on an unrelated call and also observed the suspect running through the neighborhood on Yorktown Dr. The area of was immediately locked down by police after the sighting was confirmed to be Williams.

After a nearly 5 hour search, an officer on the perimeter spotted the suspect running on Silvan Glen Dr shortly after 4:00PM. The officer gave chase and numerous other officers, including a police K-9, were able to surround the suspect and take him into custody without further incident. Later that same evening, the second suspect identified as Jamie BOWYER turned herself into police. The carjacking part of this incident remains under investigation.
This extensive search included officers from multiple units of the Prince William County Police Department, including SWAT and K-9 officers, as well as, deputies from the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office. Marine assistance was provided by the Prince William County Department of Fire & Rescue,
the Stafford Sheriff’s Office and the Fairfax County Police Department. Air assistance was provided by the Fairfax County Police Department and the US Customs & Border Protection Office of Air and Marine. We would like to thank our law enforcement partners for their assistance in this search.

Police say they think they’ve spotted a man wanted in connection to a shooting and carjacking in Woodbridge. They’re locking down a portion of the Montclair neighborhood.Â
*INCIDENT [Original Post]: Possible sighting of DeWayne Williams in the area of Skyline Dr and Laurel Ridge Rd off of Edgehill Dr in Montclair. Williams is one of the suspects wanted in connection to the shooting incident on Dale Blvd from overnight. Officers are locking down the area. A police K-9 and helo are also enroute. Area residents are urged to use caution as Williams is possibly armed and dangerous. If Williams is seen, do not approach and call police immediately.
The 23-year-old shooting victim was flown to a hospital and suffered a superficial wound, police added. The shooting took place after an argument outside the restaurant.
The shooter then took off in his car which was later found in the parking lot of nearby Freedom High School on Neabsco Mills Road in Woodbridge. Investigators said the man fled on foot to area of U.S .1 and Deleware Drive at the Misty Ridge Apartment complex.
Once there, the suspect carjacked a driver in the area of U.S. 1 and Deleware Drive, police said. The carjacked driver got out of the vehicle and was not hurt.
Police spent the night going to door to door searching for the suspect who has been identified as a 28-year-old DeWayne Andrew Williams. He’s said to be black, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes. He’s armed and dangerous, police said.
Jamie Lea Bowyer, 31, of Stafford, has been identified as an accomplice in the shooting. Both face charges of aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, police said.
Bowyer was due inside a Prince William County courtroom on Thursday for trial on an unrelated alcohol charge for failing to appear at ASAP substance abuse sessions, according the Virginia courts website. Those charges were filed in May. In 2011, a Fairfax County court found her guilty of public swearing and intoxication and a Stafford County court revoked her driver’s license. Â

House Bill 1716, introduced by Del. Cia Price, D-Newport News, passed the House of Delegates on Thursday, while a companion bill from Sen. Ghazala Hashmi, D-Chesterfield, cleared the Senate Education and Health Committee.
Last year, similar bills passed both chambers with bipartisan support but were ultimately vetoed by Youngkin.
The Manassas City Council began its three-day retreat on Thursday at James Madison’s historic Montpelier, located over 80 miles south of the city. The event quickly raised concerns about public access after members of the public who traveled to attend the meeting discovered the venue was locked and inaccessible.
Virginia law mandates that government meetings remain open to the public unless they are specifically classified as legal closed-door sessions. According to Virginia’s open meetings laws, the Council’s work session and retreat did not qualify as a closed-door meeting, raising questions about compliance.
Former Councilwoman Lynn Forkell Green attended the event and confirmed the gate to the complex was locked. “I couldn’t get in. Had I not had the cell numbers of council members, I would not have gained access because the meeting space was more than a mile past the gate, and the complex was closed,” Forkell Green said. While she was able to contact a council member who provided the entry code, she noted that most members of the public would not have such relationships or access.
