TRIANGLE, Va. – On August 12, a 51-year-old woman told police that a man approached and exposed himself to her at Locust Shade Park off U.S. near Triangle.
According to the report, police caught the suspect and arrested him for two cases of indecent exposure, one of which happened on July 30.
Here’s the latest from Prince William police:
Indecent Exposure – On August 12th at 4:35PM, officers responded to Locust Shade Park located at 4701 Locust Shade Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate an indecent exposure. The victim, a 51 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was inside her parked vehicle in the park when she observed another vehicle pull into the lot and stop near her. Once parked, an unknown man exited his vehicle and approached the victim. The suspect got close to the victim’s vehicle and proceeded to expose himself. The victim immediately called police and the suspect got back into his vehicle and drove to another area of the park. Officers arrived and located the man walking on one of the park trails and identified him as the accused. During the investigation, officers learned of another incident on July 30th involving the accused who reportedly exposed himself to a couple at the same park. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested and charged in connection to both incidents.

Prince William County Animal Services Center is working to reunite lost pets with their owners. Between February 7 and February 10, 2025, several stray animals were turned into the shelter. In an effort to assist pet owners, the center posts photos of strays on its social media pages a few times each week.
However, the center does not respond to questions about specific animals via Facebook. If you believe your pet may be at the shelter, you should contact them directly by calling (703) 792-6465, emailing [email protected], or visiting the center in person.

As another significant snowstorm blankets Stafford County with over six inches of snow on February 11, 2025, local officials grapple with the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) depleted snow removal budget, which was exhausted by a previous winter storm on January 5–6.
During a Stafford County Board of Supervisors meeting on February 6, 2025, VDOT Residency Administrator Kyle Bates warned about the agency’s financial limitations.
“That money is gone. It’s gone. Our snow budget was that one storm,” Bates said.
