LAKE RIDGE, Va. – On August 8, two incidents of armed robberies happened in the same location. According to the report, cell phones, wallets, and money were stolen and police believe that the incidents are related.
Here’s the latest from Prince William police:
Armed Robberies – On August 8th at 11:20PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 12200 block of Allspice Ct in Woodbridge (22192) around 10:30PM. The victims, a 19 year old man of Stafford, a 19 year old man of Lorton and an 18 year old man of Alexandria, reported to police that they had just arrived in the area above to attend a party. As the victims were approaching the home, they encountered three unknown men. One of the men displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. During the encounter, the armed suspect struck one of the victims in the face with the handgun. The suspects took a cell phone, wallet and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victims before fleeing on foot. Minor injuries were reported. While investigating the above incident, a separate victim approached an officer on an unrelated call to report a robbery in the same location that occurred around 10:45PM. This victim, an 18 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to the officer that he was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown man who demanded the victim’s property. After taking the victim’s cell phone, the man pulled out a handgun and ordered the victim to leave the area. No injuries were reported. Detectives are investigating both incidents as being related. The investigation continues.
