Helen “Jean” Prager passed away to join the Lord on Monday, April 28, 2014. Jean was born in New Kensington, PA on April 14, 1920 and was the loving daughter of Nancy Olive and John Herman Prager. Jean Graduated from the American University and was a Registered Nurse for the District of Columbia, working for the Health Department.
Jean was proud to be an active member of the Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR). She loved to travel, sew, paint china and spend time at her cabin in Linden, VA. Jean was a woman of strong faith and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Mayne and nephew, Jimmy Mayne. Jean is survived by her sisters, Kiz Stevenson of Lakeridge, VA and Lou Wade of Mt Airy, MD.
This amazing woman will be dearly missed and forever in the hearts of her 4 nephews and 6 nieces, as well as numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life is planned for June at Lakeridge.
