DUMFRIES, Va. -- A firefighter who spent years in the Dumfries-Triangle Fire Department passed away after a battle with cancer.
Captain Stanley “Pepper” Johnson died Monday, Aug. 26 and will be buried on Wednesday at Quantico National Cemetery.
Before his death, Johnson visited a firehouse in Dumfries during a tearful reunion one last time to thank his friends and family, and those he served with while in the fire department.
