MANASSAS, Va. -- Manassas police Officer Heather Munsterman is recovering after she was struck by a driver that police said was texting while driving.
“Officer Munsterman is suffering from fractures to her ankle and pelvic area, a dislocated shoulder and a concussion along with severe bruising across her entire body,” a press from Manassas City officials stated.
Munsterman was conducting a routine traffic stop along Va. 28 in Manassas on July 13 when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle driven by a Herndon man. City officials said the officer has received wishes from many residents.
