3rd Suspect Nabbed in Dale City Homicide

FROM POLICE REPORTS

Murder *3rd SUSPECT ARRESTED – On February 5th, members of the Prince William County Police Street Crimes Unit and the U.S. Marshals’ Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested the accused in connection to the murder which was reported to have occurred in the 15000 block of Cardin Pl in Woodbridge on January 15th. The accused was located at an address on Fullerton Rd and was arrested without incident. The investigation continues.

Arrested on February 5th:

Douglas HERNANDEZ, 25, of no fixed address

Charged with 1st degree murder

Court date unavailable, held WITHOUT bond

DALE CITY, Va. — Two men have already been charged after a man was found dead in a Dale City street last month. Now, police have identified a third suspect in this brutal case that police have classified as a murder.

On February 4th, detectives identified the 3rd suspect involved in the murder. The accused, HERNANDEZ, is believed to be the 2nd man that was with DIAZ when the victim was left in the roadway. A warrant has been obtained against HERNANDEZ. The investigation continues.

Described as a Hispanic male, 5’7”, 160lbs, with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes

Wanted for 1st degree murder

The victim in this case has been identified as 47-year-old Barbaro Lupe Alonso-Iraola. He was found dead about 11 p.m. Jan. 15 in the 15,000 block Cardin Place in Dale City suffering trauma to his face as a result of someone using a blunt force object and a knife, police state.
