Woodbridge’s Ramirez Resigns from School Board

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Denita S. Ramirez was has reigned her post as the Woodbridge District School Board member for Prince William County.

Ramirez will take a new job in Richmond and was about to complete the first year into her third term on the eight- member Board.

Ramirez’s resignation comes after a high-profile change-up on the County School Board that led to last night’s election of Lillie Jessie who will represent Prince William’s Occoquan District and permanently replace Grant Lattin, who stepped down earlier this spring.

Lattin was temporarily replaced by Michael Wooten who was defeated by Jessie in Tuesday’s General Election.

You can see Ramirez’s full bio here.

We’ve called Prince William School Board Chairman Milton Johns for comment on this story and are waiting to hear back. More as we get it.
