It’s the last day in Virginia to register to vote for the November General Election.
The State Board of Elections office has placed a voter application on its website which will need to be filled out and postmarked by today in order for residents to be registered to vote. The rule does not apply for those who are already registered or who are voting using an absentee ballot.
The elections office states registrants can speed up the process of their registration by completing all of the blocks on the registration form. Applicants are asked to write “none” or “NA” in blank spaces where the question or information requested does not apply to them.
Voters can go to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. to elect a new U.S. President, congressional offices, as well as questions and referendums placed on local ballots.
