Crash – Fatality – On September 18th at 11:10PM, police responded to the area of Old Bridge Rd and Troupe St in Woodbridge (22192) for a crash involving a pedestrian.
The investigation revealed that a pedestrian was crossing Old Bridge Rd, near Troupe St, when he stepped into the path of the driver, and only occupant, of a 1999 Mercury Sable Wagon who was traveling eastbound on Old Bridge Rd. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where he died. The driver of the Mercury remained at the scene.
Speed and alcohol are not factors in this collision. The pedestrian was crossing the roadway outside of a designated crosswalk. No other injuries reported.

The pedestrian has been identified as Anthony Eugene HOOD, 54, of Woodbridge
The driver of the 1999 Mercury Sable Wagon has been identified as a 23 year old man of Manassas
