NORTH STAFFORD, Va. — Add seafood restaurant Marlin and Rays in North Stafford to the list of places celebrating Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. More from the eatery in a press release:
On Sunday, August 12th, Stafford’s premier landlocked seafood spot, Marlin & Ray’s Seafood Bar & Grill, kicked off a week-long celebration in honor of the ever popular Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. Featuring a bevy of drink specials, including $2 Landshark Bottles, $3 Bloody Mary’s, and $4 Survivor Punch (non-alcoholic), the seafood restaurant will also invite diners to dock at the bar for an entire evening of Shark Week programming. Blue shark fin ice cubes will also be available for kids drinks.
Since its beginnings in 2011, Marlin & Ray’s has been all about “keepin’ it reel,” serving recipes and handcrafted cocktails in a laid-back atmosphere where friends, families and couples can gather together. Inspired by funky seafood dives in Florida and Southern California, Marlin & Ray’s first put down roots in the town of Maryville, Tennessee and now has nine locations across Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia and Ohio, with a tenth on the way in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. (May 2012).

Travel to French soil and join us for a night filled with two of the most beloved French traditions—no plane ticket required! ?
On January 25th, we invite you to experience the magic of Galette des Rois, a 700-year-old tradition celebrated across France throughout the entire month of January (and even beyond!). This sweet, almond-filled puff pastry topped with a golden crown isn’t just a treat—it’s a celebration! The lucky person who finds the fève (a porcelain charm hidden in one of the slices) becomes the King or Queen for the Day, and don’t worry—there will be plenty of royalty to go around! ??
But that’s not all! In France, Les Voeux (New Year’s wishes) continue throughout January, often accompanied by Champagne and good cheer. We’re bringing that festive spirit to you, with a lively evening packed with French food, wine, and music.
