OCCOQUAN, Va. — In Occoquan this weekend, visitors can mix lemonade, sunny weather, and a big dose of shopping to support local merchants.
The town will hold a Lemonade Yard Sale on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The small shops will have yellow ribbons hanging on them, will offer discounts of up to 75 percent, and, of course, have plenty of lemonade, organizers said.
Just one of the many offers in town will be Quinns Goldsmith will feature its million-dollar colored diamond event with white, blue, black, pink, chocolate, and yellow, and colored stones. They’ll also have plenty of cold lemonade to drink, said spokeswoman Donna Engborg.
Occoquan sits right off Va. 123 near Woodbridge and is home to two annual craft fairs, one in the spring and the other in the fall.
