Police report: Women, 19, 51, charged in pepper spray assault

Prince William County Police Department: “Death Investigation *UPDATE – On July 31, detectives received preliminary results from the Medical Examiner’s Office regarding the death of a 44-year-old man that occurred at a residence located in the 15300 block of Holly Hills Drive in Dumfries on July 29. The preliminary findings indicate the man died from blunt force trauma to the upper body as a result of being struck by a tree that fell onto the home during a severe weather incident. The manner of death is preliminarily classified as an accident. The final determinations of both cause and manner of death will be pending the completed report by the Medical Examiner’s Office in the coming months. Identified: The deceased was identified as Kenneth Allan LEE Jr., 44, of Dumfries.”

“Death Investigation [Previously Released] – On July 29 at 5:48 p.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 15300 block of Holly Hills Drive in Dumfries to investigate a death, possibly related to severe weather. The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old man, was inside his residence when a tree fell onto the home. Additional family members who were also inside the home at the time were not injured and contacted emergency services. The victim was pronounced dead on scene. The cause of death has not confirmed, pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.”

“Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related *ARREST – On July 30, the suspect, identified as David LEDON, who was sought in connection to the domestic dispute that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 7500 block of Quail Run Lane in Manassas on June 3, was arrested without incident.”

“Arrested on July 30: David LEDON, 41, of 7509 Quail Run Lane in Manassas. Charged with attempted malicious wounding, domestic assault & battery, and destruction of property. Court Date: Pending | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond.” Attempted Malicious Wounding | Domestic Related [Previously Released] – On June 3 at 9:42 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 7500 block of Quail Run Lane in Manassas to investigate a domestic dispute.”

“The investigation revealed the victim, a 44-year-old woman, was inside the home when a family member, identified as the accused, forced his way into the home through a rear door. The accused then pushed the victim before spitting on her. At one point during the encounter, the accused retrieved a kitchen knife and attempted to stab the victim. When the accused observed the victim contacting the police, he punctured the rear tire of her vehicle before fleeing the area. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as David LEDON. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.”

“Strangulation | Abduction | Domestic Related – On July 30 at 1:57 a.m., officers responded to the Wawa located at 13355 Minnieville Road in Woodbridge to investigate a domestic dispute.”

“The investigation revealed the victim, identified as a 16-year-old female juvenile, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in verbal altercation while at the business. During the encounter, the accused forced the victim into the vehicle and physically prevented her from getting out. The accused then put his arm across the victim’s neck. When the victim attempted to get out of the vehicle, the accused slammed the door on victim’s foot.”

“The parties eventually left the business in the vehicle where they were stopped by responding officers in the 3100 block of Forestdale Avenue. The victim reported minor injuries. While investigating the incident, officers determined the victim had an active protective order against the accused. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Bryan Ariel ACOSTA, was arrested. Arrested on July 30: Bryan Ariel ACOSTA, 18, of 282 Aylesbury Lane in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Charged with abduction, strangulation, assault & battery, violation of a protective order, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Court Date: Pending | Bond: $2,500 Unsecured Bond.”

“Assault with a Caustic Substance – On July 31, officers concluded an investigation into an assault that was reported to have occurred in the area of Lost Canyon Court and Delaware Drive in Woodbridge on May 8. The investigation revealed two groups of female juveniles agreed to meet in the above area for an altercation. While in the above area, a verbal altercation between the two groups escalated before one of the female juveniles, identified as the accused, sprayed two women in the other group, identified as a 19- year-old woman and a 51-year-old woman, with pepper spray. On July 31, following the investigation, officers obtained petitions for the accused, identified as a 17-year-old female juvenile. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in a formal action and will be handled through the court process at a later date. Charged on July 31: [Juvenile] A 17-year-old female juvenile of Woodbridge. Charged with 2 counts of assault with a caustic substance. Court Date: Pending | Status: Charged/Petitions Obtained.”

“Shooting into a Residential Dwelling – On July 30 at 8:03 p.m., officers responded to investigate a destruction of property that was reported to have occurred at The Landings at Markham’s Grant Apartments located in the 2700 block of Penbury Court in Woodbridge (22191) sometime between 12:00 p.m. on July 19 and 7:00 p.m. on July 30. The investigation revealed a round entered the home through a bedroom window. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.”

“Shooting into Residential Dwellings – On July 29 at 8:32 a.m., officers responded to a residence located in the 2000 block of Mayflower Drive in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a destruction of property. The investigation revealed at approximately 4:00 a.m. the homeowner woke to a loud noise before discovering damage to a wall later that morning. While checking the area, officers located two additional homes with damage consistent with being struck by projectiles. The rounds were fired from the roadway which struck the residences. No injuries or additional property damage were reported.”

“Armed Robbery – On July 30 at 3:34 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Drive in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 68-year-old man, was contacted by a female acquaintance who arranged to meet the victim in the above area. Shortly after the woman got into the victim’s vehicle, an unknown man entered the vehicle and brandished a firearm towards the victim. Both the male and the female suspect demanded the victim drive them to a nearby bank where he was forced to withdraw money. The victim then drove the suspects back to the above location. No injuries were reported.”

“Malicious Wounding – On July 29 at 10:59 p.m., officers on the concert detail at Jiffy Lube Live located at 7800 Cellar Door Drive in Bristow (20136) were alerted to a fight in the ‘C’ parking lot area. The investigation revealed the victim, a 23-year-old man, and a group of unknown men were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the victim was struck and thrown to the ground where he was repeatedly kicked. The parties eventually separated, and the suspects fled prior to police arriving in the area. Officers located the victim who was initially unconscious with facial injuries and provided first aid. Fire and rescue personnel responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where they determined his injuries were non-life threatening. The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the men Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact police.”

“Residential Burglary – On July 29 at 9:12 p.m., officers responded to investigate a burglary that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 1400 block of California Street in Woodbridge (22191) sometime between 9:00 a.m. on July 22 and 4:00 p.m. on July 29. The investigation revealed entry was made into the attached garage through a window that was found damaged. Multiple power tools were reported missing.”

“Armed Robbery – On July 30 at 4:38 p.m., officers responded to the McDonald’s located at 13761 Richmond Highway in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. “The investigation revealed an unknown man, later identified as the accused, approached the service counter where he brandished a knife and took money from the cash register before fleeing the business. While investigating the incident, officers identified the accused and obtained arrest warrants. The following morning, the accused, identified as Robert Lee SMITH, was located and taken into custody without incident. Arrested on July 31: Robert Lee SMITH, 58, of no fixed address. “Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On July 30 at 11:57 p.m., officers responded to Starbucks located at 10683 Sudley Manor Drive in Manassas (20109) to investigate a shoplifter. The investigation revealed a man, identified as the accused, consumed food items without paying. The accused then placed the tip jar in his bag before damaging a chair inside the business. Officers determined the accused was intoxicated and attempted to detain him when the accused bit an officer and assaulted two additional officers before being taken into custody without further incident. Minor injuries were reported by the officers. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jonatan A. MONZON OLIVARES, was arrested. Arrested on July 30: [No Photo Available] Jonatan A. MONZON OLIVARES, 25, of no fixed address. Charged with 3 counts of assault & battery on LEO, 1 count of destruction of property, 1 count of petit larceny, 1 count of intoxicated in public.
