Infrastructure, race relations, and education were key topics discussed at the Stafford County Board of Supervisors candidates forum.
The county's NAACP branch held the forum where four of the eight candidates seeking open seats on the Board took questions. Most candidates called for improved infrastructure in the county, saying residents need more routes to get around town when the old stand-bys, Route 1, and Interstate 95, are jammed.
"It's dangerous to have people ride secondary roads because it creates a lot of 'backflow' traffic on neighborhood streets," said Sandy Cole, who is seeing to unseat incumbent Meg Bohmke in the Falmouth District.
