Kelly Kruzel and her fifth-grade students at Kate Walter Barrett Elementary School in Stafford County are participating in a video pen pal project with students from across the globe.
Her students visit weekly with students at the Green Valley Child Care Primary School in Uganda.
āWe started meeting with Teacher Ronnie, Tugavune Ronnie Wilson, once-a-week for an hour on Fridays,ā said Kruzel. āThe first time they talked to us, it was the first time many had seen a computer open. They were completely shocked and wouldnāt talk to me or answer our kids at first.ā
