Fredericksburg could use federal funds to market its public transportation service, FRED Transit.
The City Council hopes the new funds would help to brand the bus service, which provides rides to residents of the city and Stafford County.
The money would be used to entice new riders to try to the service, ultimately grow it to serve more corners of the Fredericksburg region.
