A security guard attacked a man inside of a Chipotle restaurant near Manassas on Friday, January 8, police said.
The victim’s crime — he wasn’t wearing a facemask at the time he entered the restaurant, according to police.
Here’s the police report.
Malicious Wounding – On January 8 at 7:19PM, officers responded to the Chipotle located at 7311 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 42-year-old man, walked into the restaurant without a mask and encountered the accused, who was providing security for the business.
During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim and struck him on more than one occasion before dragging him out of the restaurant. Eventually the parties separated, and the police were contacted.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Wayne Eric WITHERSPOON Jr., was arrested.
