Vehicle fire outside business on Redoubt Road

An employee of a business on Redoubt Road, near the Manassas Regional Airport, started a car to let it warm up. In the process, flames engulfed the vehicle, police say.

Vehicle Fire
On January 11, 2021, at 3:43 a.m. officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 10500 block of Redoubt Rd. for a report of a truck on fire. Once on scene, the truck was located and was fully engulfed in flames, along with another truck parked next to it. The victim advised that an employee started the vehicle to let it warm up before he noticed the fire. There was significant damage to the vehicles. At this time, it has not been determined if incident is a result of foul play. The investigation is ongoing.

Fraud
On January 8, 2021 at 1:55 p.m., officers of the Manassas City Police Department responded to the 9800 block of Liberia Ave for a report of a fraud. The victim advised that an unknown person stole her purse, and used her credit cards to make several purchases in the Manassas area. The investigation is ongoing.
