1 death, increased coronavirus hospitalizations reported

Here’s a look at today’s coronavirus hospitalization report.

Prince William Health District

There are a total of six new coronavirus hospitalizations to report today in Prince William County. The new numbers have increased the hospitalization rate per 100,000 of the county’s 465,000 people from 0.4% to 0.5%.

Now, on average, three people who live in Prince William County have been admitted to hospitals with the disease over the past seven days. That number is up from two, which we reported yesterday.

There are no new hospitalizations or deaths reported in Manassas or Manassas Park, where the average hospitalization rates remain one percent and 0.8% of the entire population, respectively.

There’s one new report of a coronavirus hospitalization in Manassas City after days of zero people being admitted to a hospital. The average hospitalization rate in the city remains at 0.1% of the population.

There are no new hospitalizations in Manassas Park.

Rappahannock Area Health District

A King George County resident has died from the coronavirus. The average death rate in the county is 0.5% per 100,000 people.

There are no new hospitalizations reported today in King George.

There is one new report of hospitalization in Stafford County today. The seven-day average hospitalization and death rates in Stafford County has decreased from 0.9% to 0.8%.

There is one new hospitalization reported today in Spotsylvania County, bringing the average hospitalization rate per 100,000 people to 0.5%. There’s an average of Spotsylvania resident admitted to a hospital for coronavirus over the past seven days.

Statewide

A total of 1,422 people are hospitalized with the disease — 91 more than our last report on Friday, November 27.
